To be eligible for most travel insurance plans for Canadians, applicants generally must agree with the following:

All travellers are at least 30 days old (unless specified otherwise by plan).

All travellers are residents of Canada AND are covered under a Canadian provincial or territorial government health insurance plan for the entire duration of their trip.

All travellers are not travelling against the advice of a physician.

All travellers have not been diagnosed with a terminal illness (e.g., stage 3 or 4 cancer, or any condition with a prognosis of less than 2 years to live).

All travellers do not require kidney dialysis.

All travellers have not been prescribed or used home oxygen in the last twelve (12) months.

All travellers have never had a bone marrow, stem cell, or major organ transplant (excluding cornea).
